ANNECY

Annecy is one of those rare places where reality feels like literature. Walking through its narrow streets, along the canals and pastel-colored houses, it is easy to imagine scenes unfolding like chapters in a novel. The city carries a quiet elegance, a rhythm of life that seems untouched by time.

While wandering through Annecy, I often thought of Honoré de Balzac, whose novels so beautifully captured the complexities of society, human character, and the atmosphere of European cities. The charm of Annecy; its bridges, old façades, and reflections in the water... Feels like the perfect setting for the kind of stories Balzac might have told: stories of quiet encounters, hidden emotions, and the subtle drama of everyday life.

The canals flowing through the old town give Annecy its famous nickname, “the Venice of the Alps.” But beyond the picturesque scenery lies something deeper. The town has an almost narrative quality; every corner seems to hold a story waiting to be discovered.

These images capture moments from my walk through Annecy, fragments of a place where architecture, water, and light create a scene that feels both real and literary. A city that could easily belong not only to geography, but also to the pages of a novel.
